经过了疫情阴霾笼罩的一年后，春回大地，万物复苏。2月8日，国家卫生健康委员会（以下简称“国家卫健委”）公布了年援外医疗工作表现突出集体名单，中国（四川）第18批援佛得角医疗队（以下简称“医疗队”）榜上有名。暮春四月，在一个细雨微朦的早上，记者见到了结束隔离、尚在休整的医疗队队长黄江涛。谈起援外地点佛得角首都普拉亚，黄江涛最难忘的除了一望无际的海面、温暖明亮的阳光，就是那非同寻常的海外经历。

根据国家卫健委安排，四川是中国唯一承担向葡语国家派遣援外医疗队的省份，承担向有需要的葡语国家派遣援外医疗队的工作。自年向莫桑比克派出第一支医疗队以来，45年间，四川已累计向圣多美和普林西比、几内亚比绍、东帝汶等9个国家派出了77批医疗队。

继承优良的援外传统，当科室选拔此次援外医生时，作为科室副主任医师和党支部委员的黄江涛，深知肩上的责任与使命，毅然报名，并成功入选。

“我要去佛得角援医两年。”回家吃过晚饭后，黄江涛将结果慎重地告诉了妻子。没有预料之中的争论，妻子沉默片刻后轻轻说了一句：“一定要平安归来。”此情此景，与不久前大相径庭——考虑到黄江涛年纪不轻，不适合“折腾”，再加上家中上有年老体弱的双亲、下有正值中考的儿子需要照顾，因此，当最初听到黄江涛谈起援医打算时，妻子曾表示了强烈的反对。

许是拗不过自己的固执，许是经过一段时间后已然放下了顾虑，面对妻子的理解与支持，黄江涛倍感欣慰，如释重负地踏上了援外之旅。

两年的援外生涯并不容易，黄江涛的小家先后经历了老人确诊肺癌、儿子膝关节受伤等变故，都是妻子一肩扛下了所有重担。黄江涛好几次在电话里听到妻子话音哽咽，但是一追问，妻子又总不肯多言。每当此时，黄江涛除了鼓励和安慰外，别无他法。挂断电话后，他一个人默默待在原地，心里生出了无限愧疚。
